Dispersed PTFE is a secondary particle formed by the coagulation of PTFE dispersed particles, with a diameter of 500μm. It is in powder form and has a large specific surface area. After absorbing organic solvents, it forms a paste under the action of shear force. It is usually formed by extrusion molding process, so it is called paste extrusion molding.
.PTFE dispersion impregnation. Products made by impregnating asbestos, glass fiber, glass cloth, porous metals and other materials with PTFE dispersion have excellent properties, such as non-absorbency of water, good non-stickiness, lubricity and air tightness, as well as excellent chemical corrosion resistance at high temperatures.
.Coating and molding of PTFE dispersion. PTFE dispersion forms coatings on the surfaces of metals, ceramics, wood and plastics, endowing these material surfaces with anti-sticking, low friction coefficient and moisture-proof properties, thus greatly expanding the application range of these materials. The coating processes include electrostatic spraying, plasma spraying, etc.
.Wet mixing and filling of PTFE. Wet mixing is the process of uniformly mixing PTFE dispersion and filler to make them co-coagulate. The PTFE products prepared by this method have relatively high mechanical strength, good wear resistance and dielectric properties. However, due to the poor thermal stability of emulsion polymerization resin, they are only limited to manufacturing thin-walled and small-sized products.
.PTFE dispersion casting molding. PTFE dispersion film casting is a process where PTFE dispersion is continuously applied to a highly polished metal strip in continuous operation. The coated PTFE is then sent to a high-temperature tower for baking. After all the moisture and surfactants have completely evaporated, the product is sintered at 360-380℃. The products processed by this method are called PTFE film casting. The surface is smooth and soft, and it is used as insulation for capacitors
